PERFORAMNCES

January 29 & 30, 2027

Calling ALL 6th GRADERS!

AUDITIONS: OCTOBER 26

3:30pm-5:15pm - OR - 5:15pm-6:20pm

Students will choose ONE of the above time slots and will be here for that entire time to do their monologue, song and dance audition.

During their audition time, students will perform their prepared monologue and song choice and meet the directors! While not auditioning, students will learn a short dance, which will also be performed for the directors at the end of the audition time.

CALLBACKS: OCTOBER 28

3:30pm-6pm

This is a day for the directors to narrow down casting and see specific people for specific roles. Not everyone will be called. This is neither a good nor bad thing! Directors may already know what role you are perfect for based on your auditions.

HOW TO PREPARE?

There will be specific songs and monologues for you to prepare for your audition - we will have these available at least a week prior to October 26. These will be emailed out to everyone signed up as well here on the Madagascar page.

MADAGASCAR, JR. - Alex the lion is the king of the urban jungle, the main attraction at New York's Central Park Zoo. He and his best friends — Marty the zebra, Melman the giraffe and Gloria the hippo — have spent their whole lives in blissful captivity before an admiring public and with regular meals provided for them. Not content to leave well enough alone, Marty lets his curiosity get the better of him and makes his escape — with the help of some prodigious penguins — to explore the world.
