What is the BRAVO! Advisory Board (BAB)?

The BRAVO! Advisory Board is an active volunteer organization comprised of GBMS parents, school administration,  faculty/staff, alumni, alumni parents and community arts advocates committed to the advocacy and enrichment of arts  education at GBMS, District 97. BAB meets the 2nd Monday of every month.  Individuals interested in sitting on the board  must become BRAVO! members and attend a minimum of six meetings throughout the academic year.  BAB supports  BRAVO! activities by sponsoring fundraising, volunteering at events, and acting as a source for new ideas.

How do I become a BRAVO! member?

Any person or business can become a BRAVO! member by donating funds to support BRAVO!, all donations are tax  deductible.  Members are acknowledged in all performance programs for one academic year. Our base membership  level is $35. Fill out and submit a “BRAVO Membership Form” with payment to the BRAVO office or visit our website at  bravoperformingarts.org

The board's mission and charge is to support and advise the BRAVO Artistic Director and the BRAVO office in  programming, and fundraising.

BRAVO Advisory Board Mission Statement

The mission of the BRAVO Advisory Board is to support the vast BRAVO! program, Artistic Director and Executive  Assistant through advocacy to ensure that all GBMS students gain the opportunity to experience the Performing Arts so  that they may utilize these experiences in their adult lives both for participation and appreciation.

The BRAVO Advisory board is an active component in reaching out to our community, district, families and students.   BAB is a key element in the success of BRAVO! and supports the program and Artistic Director in every production,  fundraiser, special event, and concert.  The BRAVO Advisory Board includes over twenty board members and up to five  officers.  With the assistance of the dedicated Advisory Board, BRAVO! is able to formulate creative and unique ideas,  organize and assign details and implement successful plans.
