BRAVO! –an award-winning theater program at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School in Oak Park–is a no-cut extracurricular program dedicated to diversity and inclusion in the performing arts. Through shows, camps, classes and workshops, BRAVO provides opportunities to every student. We are thrilled to be back in person and this spring, over 100 Brooks students are involved in the production of Footloose. After a two-year hiatus from ticket sales and other fundraising, BRAVO is requesting sponsors for costumes, technical elements, and scenic design. You have a choice of where to place your advertising dollars and we encourage you to consider sponsoring BRAVO.

 Sponsoring BRAVO makes sense if:

You want your business to be associated with a preeminent theater program—considered by many to be a jewel in our Oak Park community.

Includes every child that wants to participate, regardless of ability

Impacts 30% of the Brooks student population, more than any other club or sport – and was the only activity running during 2020

Wins awards for excellence at the Junior Theater Festival, year after year

Well-known by directors in New York and regularly asked to pilot new shows for children

You want to reach parents in Oak Park

Spring show program will be distributed at 8 shows with attendance of approximately 400 per show (total attendance reach: 3200)

BRAVO has an engaged social following

Over 1400 Facebook followers, of whom 78% are women and 88% are women over age 35.

1200+ Instagram followers

Emerging Twitter following

You want to support the arts

BRAVO offers many free programs to Brooks students—musical theater, dance, improv, film and stage crew—funded through donations and ticket sales.

Students pay a minimal costume fee of $25-$50 to participate in shows during the year and can request support if needed.

100% of non-salary BRAVO costs come from ticket sales, program ads and fundraising.
